Photoshoot Styles in Kyoto — Kimono, Dress and Concept | AILÉA

Three ways to be yourselves.

There is no single
right way to be photographed.

Kimono, dress and concept. Each is a complete studio shoot — costume, professional hair and make-up, and a built set, art-directed as one, and styled to look current rather than traditionally bridal. Indoors and private, so weather and crowds never reach you. No wedding and no occasion are required for any of them, and the plans and prices are the same whichever style you choose.

Kimono Portrait — Japanese bridal kimono couple photography in Kyoto
01 Kimono Portrait A Japanese bridal kimono,
worn properly.

The garment most people never get the chance to wear. A trained kitsuke stylist dresses you — an uchikake or hikifurisode on Premium, komon or furisode on Standard — and our sets are built for kimono, down to the gold screen and the round window. Formality kept, colour and framing brought up to date.

Standard komon / furisode / Premium hikifurisode / uchikake

Dress Portrait — couple photography in Kyoto
02 Dress Portrait Soft light, quiet framing,
just the two of you.

Pale tones and plenty of space in the frame, closer to a Korean-style bridal portrait than to a formal wedding photograph. No veil, no bouquet — nothing between you and the camera. For an anniversary, an engagement, or a photograph to send home.

Standard dress / Premium premium dress

Concept Portrait — cinematic couple photography in Kyoto
03 Concept Portrait A single scene,
built around the two of you.

Costume, hair, make-up, lighting and a built set, composed as one picture. Sweet and a little decadent, classical, romantic — or like characters in a film. For couples who want the result to stand as a piece of work.

Standard only
