Costume, kimono dressing, hair and make-up, the studio shoot and your retouched images are all in the price. Standard covers dresses, komon and furisode kimono, and concept styles; Premium is for bridal kimono and premium dresses. Those garments take longer to put on, so Premium allows more time — and it includes every shot we take as a JPEG. You choose three things: a plan, a style, and a studio set.
Allow about 3.5h in your plans for the day. Nothing has to be hired, carried or returned, and the studio is a few minutes from Heian Shrine — so you can go straight back to sightseeing afterwards. No wedding and no occasion are required to book either plan.
The studio, the photographer and the way we work are the same on both plans. What changes is the formality of the garment — and, because of it, the time it takes and whether every shot is included as a JPEG. If you are marking a marriage, Premium is the one that puts you in a full bridal kimono.
* The focus is couple shots; we are happy to take solo shots of each of you as well.
* A hikifurisode or uchikake takes longer to put on, so allow about 30 minutes more.
* Shots taken is how many times we photograph you; the retouched images you receive are a selection from them.
* The all-shots JPEGs are colour-adjusted only; retouching is done on the images included in your plan.
* Men's hair and make-up are not included in either plan. They can be booked in advance as paid options (section 04).
* Prices are shown tax included.
Next, the garment, the hair and make-up and the direction of the lighting. Which styles are available depends on the plan.
* Concept builds costume, hair, make-up, lighting and background from a single theme, so the studio set comes with it — there is nothing more to choose.
* You are welcome to be photographed in your own clothes or with items you bring. Please tell us when you book; it is separate from choosing a style.

For kimono and dress styles, the last choice is where you are photographed: one of our built sets, or a plain white or black backdrop. You choose it on the page after booking.
Everything in this section is charged in addition to the plan price. Your plan already covers the costume, hair and make-up, the studio shoot and your retouched images. These are for when you want to change the finish, receive more of the photographs, or keep them as something you can hold. Some of it has to be arranged in advance, so please tell us when you book.
Hair and make-up for women are included in both plans, finished to look current rather than traditionally bridal. Korean make-up can be added on top of that: our team includes a stylist trained at a Korean make-up school and certified as a make-up director, and the technique is shared across the team, so it is available whoever is looking after you on the day.
